As you can see, I am an animal lover. Our rather large family includes five Anatolian Shepherds, a good size colony of large breed rabbits, and three cats. We have a home base in both Asheville and Franklin, and because we love to travel, trekking through North Carolina and even occasionally to Tennessee to visit family, well, it’s a good life.
A little about my professional background. My 35-year nursing career began in Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Memphis, Tennessee. Graduating in 1986, I went on to complete a Bachelor of Nursing at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee in 1990. The next goal was advanced practice nursing, and I graduated from Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia in 1992. I have worked in a variety of settings as an anesthesia provider, including Level 1 trauma, high risk obstetrics, general surgery, gynecology, neurology, vascular, and pediatrics. I have served as chief CRNA in two medical facilities and practiced solo, as well as in a team setting. I am Board Certified in Nurse Anesthesia and currently on staff as an Obstetric/Trauma CRNA at Carolinas Healthcare System in Charlotte.
My professional passion is providing alternative treatment to clients who may have had little success with traditional behavioral health treatments. Southern Ketamine Clinic is a heart-driven endeavor, and I find much gratification in getting to help the people who have come to us. When you meet me in person, you might even tire of hearing my exuberance over the success stories we’ve had so far, how the clinic is “the baby” I’ve poured my heart and soul into. One thing I can assure you: I will do all that is possible to help you attain better health. I will be your cheerleader when things have gotten too heavy to take another step.
